Lady Gaga Teams Up With Crunchyroll For ‘Chromatica’ Streetwear Collection
A portion of the proceeds from sales will go to the star’s Born This Way Foundation
Lady Gaga has teamed up with the global anime brand Crunchyroll to launch a new streetwear collection themed around her album Chromatica.
The star’s sixth studio album won her a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album in 2021 and centered around ideas of healing and happiness in the context of mental health.
The new collection will arrive on April 21 and be available exclusively at the Crunchyroll Store. It will feature specially-designed artwork from McFlyy and will include long and short-sleeved t-shirts, hoodies, joggers, and bucket hats with anime-inspired illustrations of Gaga on them. There will also be a beanie emblazoned with Chromatica in pink embroidery available to purchase.
A portion of the proceeds from the merch sales will be donated to the Born This Way Foundation, the non-profit organization that Gaga set up with her mother, Cynthia Germanotta. The group aims to support young people through mental health struggles and work with them to “empower them to create a kinder and braver world.”
The Crunchyroll Loves x Lady Gaga collection launches on April 21 and is available to pre-order from the official store now.
Meanwhile, Gaga will bring Chromatica to life on stage this summer with the Chromatica Ball stadium tour. The run of special dates will kick off on July 17 in Dusseldorf, followed by stadium engagements in Stockholm, Paris, Arnhem, London (2nd Show added), Toronto, Washington, New York (East Rutherford, NJ), Chicago, Boston, Dallas, Atlanta, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
This summer’s tour promises to be a full-scale, Lady Gaga pop show featuring fan-favorite hits, and the first-ever public live performances from the No. 1 selling, critically-acclaimed, and Grammy-winning 2020 album Chromatica.
The record featured a number of high-profile collaborations, including the award-winning “Rain On Me” with Ariana Grande and the sugar-sweet club track “Sour Candy” with K-pop megastars BLACKPINK. Sir Elton John also appeared later in the album, joining Gaga on “Sine From Above.”
