Kygo And Imagine Dragons Collaborate On New Track ‘Born To Be Yours’

‘Born To Be Yours,’ the brand new song from global superstar Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll – a.k.a. Kygo & multi-platinum Grammy Award winning band Imagine Dragons, is out now on KIDinaKORNER/Interscope/Sony International/Ultra. The song, co-written by Imagine Dragons & Kygo is available for digital download and streaming via all participating digital retailers and it can also be heard below.

“Born To Be Yours” feels to me like the perfect combination of my sound mixed with the band’s iconic elements and vocals,” said Kygo. “Imagine Dragons are one of my favorite bands and it’s an honor to finally let everyone hear what we’ve been working on.”

Norwegian DJ, record producer, musician, and songwriter Kygo first garnered major international attention with his remix of the track ‘I See Fire’ by Ed Sheeran, which has received over 55 million plays on SoundCloud and 65 million views on YouTube and his single ‘Firestone’ which has over 500 million views on YouTube with an additional 560 million plays on Spotify.

Kygo has since released several singles, such as ‘Stole the Show’, ‘Here for You’, ‘Stay’, and ‘It Ain’t Me’, which have debuted on several international charts. Kygo’s debut album Cloud Nine was released on 13 May 2016. He made history on 21 August 2016 at the 2016 Rio Olympics, when he became the first house music producer to perform at an Olympics closing ceremony.

As uDiscover Music previously reported, Imagine Dragons released ‘Next To Me,’ in February. Produced by Alex Da Kid, it was their first new music released since Evolve, the band’s 2017 platinum selling third album. Evolve, the biggest rock album of 2017, has sold over 1.3 million albums in the US alone and over 4 billion streams globally. The band are currently on the latest leg of their Evolve tour in North America which opened on 5 June in Hartford, CT and wraps on 10 August in Tampa, Florida.
