Keith Urban has premiered the video for his new festive track ‘I’ll Be Your Santa Tonight’. The clip opens on a black and white Yuletide scene with the country star sitting at the piano, before he switches to playing guitar amid the Christmas trees. Just under a minute in, the scene changes to full colour. “Your sister’s stuck in Denver and your mama can’t come,” he sings, “but you don’t have to be alone.”
The bluesy ‘I’ll Be Your Santa Tonight’ is Urban’s first-ever original Christmas song, and follows his latest major country hit ‘We Were.’ That track holds at No. 4 in its 29th week on Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart, and climbs 10-8 on Hot Country Tracks.
Urban is preparing for three consecutive shows in Sydney, Australia at the Coliseum Theatre, starting with the theatre’s Grand Opening Gala on 21 December. That show is billed as Keith Urban & Friends featuring Amy Shark and John Butler.
He’s also on the bill for the Jack Daniel’s Music City Midnight show on New Year’s Eve in Nashville, taking place in the city’s Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. The free admission event will also feature performances by Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, Isbell’s wife Amanda Shires, the Struts, Bren Joy, Kalie Shorr, the Fisk Jubilee Singers and DJ Dave Audé.
In the new year, Urban has four shows booked in Las Vegas, at the Colosseum, on 10-11 and 17-18 January. On 10 February, he will join Ingrid Andress, Brothers Osborne, Luke Combs, Lauren Daigle, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Tenille Townes and Tanya Tucker at Bridgestone Arena, for the seventh All For The Hall Benefit Concert In Support Of The Country Music Hall Of Fame And Museum’s Education Programmes.
