Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Garth Brooks And More To Play Loretta Lynn Birthday Concert
Kacey Musgraves, Jack White, Keith Urban and more will play Loretta Lynn: An All-Star Birthday Celebration Concert in Nashville.
Beloved country legend Loretta Lynn is ringing in her birthday in style with an all-star tribute concert ‘Loretta Lynn: An All-Star Birthday Celebration Concert’ on 1 April 2019 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
Lynn’s biggest champion and frequent collaborator Jack White will be performing alongside a host of Nashville’s biggest stars including Kacey Musgraves, Margo Price, Pistol Annies, George Strait, Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Keith Urban, Alan Jackson, Darius Rucker, Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood and more.
“I am so excited to celebrate my 87th birthday with all my friends,” Lynn shared in a statement. “This is the first time I’ve ever had a birthday party! My birthday wish has come true. The only other wish I have is that Keith Urban jumps out of my birthday cake!”
Serving as musical director for the evening will be acclaimed music producer Dave Cobb and net proceeds from the tickets will go towards the Opry Trust Fund and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
Garth Brooks who will also be performing at the concert was at the press conference to surprise Lynn with a birthday cake and praising her immense musical contributions:
“She’s the queen of country music, there’s not a level she hasn’t crushed, no matter how big this party is, it ain’t gonna be big enough! This is going to be an honour and a blast!”
Lynn has another reason to celebrate this year. She’s up for Best Country Performance at the 2019 Grammy Awards for her album Wouldn’t It Be Great released last year and her 41st studio album!
Sally Williams, SVP Programming & Artist Relations Opry Entertainment and Grand Ole Opry added, “Loretta’s been warming hearts and putting smiles on faces since she joined the Opry in 1962. There’s no one who deserves a big birthday throwdown more than her. And by generously including the Opry Trust Fund in the festivities, it will be the country music community that will receive the gifts this year as she helps us fulfil the mission of helping those in our community who are in need.”

Oh my gosh, I bow to the Queen. Love Loretta. I have my own band, and when I sing Loretta or Patsy, the crowd loves it, she is the epitome of country music, and has made it be the best of what is meant country music to be. Happy birthday, love you
