K.T. Tunstall Plays Billboard, Royal Albert Home, Other At-Home Events
Tunstall is also booked for the For The Love Of Scotland fundraiser and a multi-artist PRS For Music special.
K.T. Tunstall is continuing a busy schedule of live performances with appearances today (22) on Billboard‘s Live At-Home series and the For The Love Of Scotland fundraiser. Then on Friday, she’ll take part in a multi-artist PRS For Music special and, next week, the Royal Albert Hall’s Royal Albert Home series.
The Scottish singer-songwriter will be on Billboard‘s Facebook page at 1pm ET/ 10am PT/ 6pm BST today. The series raises money for COVID-19 relief. Other artists contributing during this week include Aloe Blacc and Sublime with Rome (both of whom performed on Monday), Dawes, Zhavia Ward, Justine Skye and Boyz II Men’s Shawn Stockman.
Billboard Live At-Home launched on 19 March with the help of JoJo, Josh Groban and Russell Dickerson. All three artists chose a nonprofit partner to support their live stream, to help those most affected by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Charities to benefit so far have included Meals on Wheels America, Downtown Women’s Centre, My Friend’s Place and Feeding America.
Also today, Tunstall is one of the hosts of another live streaming event, For The Love Of Scotland. It’s a fundraiser with @gigsinscotland for @Masks4Scotland, which is getting Personal Protective Equipment to frontline health professionals in Scotland. Also taking part are such fellow notable Scots as Annie Lennox, Fran Healy of Travis, Simon Neil of Biffy Clyro, Alan Cumming, Peter Capaldi, James McAvoy, Irvine Welsh and Ian Rankin.
On Friday (25), Tunstall is part of PRS For Music’s Lckdwn event in support of the PRS Emergency Relief Fund. From midday BST, it will also feature such names as Katie Melua, Nitin Sawhney, Linda Perry, Caitlyn Scarlett and Sugar Zaddy Mami.
Tunstall’s performance in the Royal Albert Home series, organised by London’s world-famous live institution, will take place on 30 April. Last weekend, the series hosted the Opera For Kids and Beethoven 250 events and a performance by folk-jazz-electronica artist Sophie Hunger. Rufus Wainwright played a set on 9 April.
On the recording front, the ever-versatile Tunstall is the featured artist on the current dance single ‘Starlight & Gold,’ produced by Italian DJ Molella. It’s out now on Silos Music.
