Jon Pardi, Country Platinum-Seller, Announces New Album, Single And Tour
The news comes after his performance on the American Idol season finale with winner Laine Hardy.
Platinum-selling country star Jon Pardi has announced the 27 September release of a new album, tour and single, all titled Heartache Medication. The news comes after his performance on the American Idol season finale with winner Laine Hardy.
The lead single and title track of the album, Pardi’s third and the follow-up to 2016’s California Sunrise, is available now. It has an impact date at country radio of 3 June. The singer co-wrote it with Barry Dean and Natalie Hemby, and Pardi says it typifies an album containing “songs [that] lift you up. They put you in a higher place.”
He adds: “The single ‘Heartache Medication’ has an 80,s George Strait ‘Fool Hearted Memory’ feel to it, and is something people can dance to. That’s something I really wanted for this album. There really are no sad songs on this record — it covers a range of subjects, but is ultimately about moving on, and having a good time.”
California Sunrise was a platinum-certified success which topped the country charts and contained three major top ten hits, ‘ Head Over Boots,’ ‘Dirt on My Boots’ and ‘Heartache on the Dancefloor.’ That album, in turns, followed the 2014 debut of the Capitol Nashville artist with Write You A Song. That featured the top ten success ‘Up All Night’ and three other top 40 singles.
The CMA and ACM Award-winning Pardi has also revealed details of his Heartache Medication tour, which will feature direct support Riley Green on select dates. Pre-sale begins on 28 May, with tickets available everywhere from 31 May. For the first time in his career, he will headline consecutive nights at the famous Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on 1 and 2 October. Every online ticket purchase for the tour will come with a CD copy of the Heartache Medication album.
