Joe Jonas, Loud Luxury And Others Will DJ A Virtual Prom
Hosted by Los Angeles’ 102.7 KIIS FM, the event will include appearances by Ryan Seacrest, Lauv, Dillon Francis and many others.
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, high school seniors in Southern California and around the country will be missing out on a major rite of passage: prom. Though they may not be able to attend the formal dance party in person, students can enjoy a celebrity-filled virtual prom thanks to iHeartMedia Los Angeles’ 102.7 KIIS FM. The Southern California pop station, which boasts such on-air talent as Ryan Seacrest, will feature a jam-packed night of DJ sets by the likes of Joe Jonas, Loud Luxury and Dillon Francis, plus special guest appearances by Lauv, Seacrest and many more. Local students can listen live from 6:30-9:30 pm PST on 1 May, while fans around the world can live-stream the festivities on KIIS FM’s YouTube, or listen on the iHeartRadio app.
As fans of the Jonas Brothers know, Joe has been getting plenty of practice as a DJ while self-isolating at home. The middle Jonas brother has been entertaining his followers with regular Instagram Live DJ sets – some of them lasting several hours.
Joe has plenty to celebrate though, as he and his brothers released their comeback album, Happiness Begins, last year. Their fifth studio album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 marked their first release since 2013’s Live. The family group also scored their first No.1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 with ‘Sucker’.
Attendees of the virtual prom can also look forward to sets from some of music’s biggest names, including moombahton pioneer Dillon Francis and the Juno Award-winning Canadian duo, Loud Luxury, who just released a new EP, Nights Like This. Singer-songwriter Lauv will also make an appearance, along with Ryan Seacrest and KIIS FM’s all-star DJs, while additional celebrity guests will be announced shortly.
