Watch The Video For James Blake And Rosalía’s New Single, ‘Barefoot In The Park’
The video for the song – taken from Blake’s ‘Assume Form’ album – was directed by Diana Kunst and Mau Morgo.
James Blake has today shared the video for ‘Barefoot In The Park’ (feat. Rosalía) taken from his critically-acclaimed album, ‘Assume Form’ which was released earlier this year.
Featuring the Catalan pop sensation Rosalía, ‘Barefoot In The Park’ is an especially romantic moment on Assume Form that celebrates togetherness and intimacy. Having reached number 6 in the UK, Assume Form has quickly become Blake’s highest-charting and most critically-acclaimed album to date – also surpassing over 40 million streams in just a week.
Critically, Assume Form has also kept pace with its commercial success, with the media effusive with their praise of the album. The NME’S review (“Proof that James Blake is one of the world’s greatest producers. ‘Assume Form’ is a stunning document of breaking through depression. A masterstroke”) and GQ’S (“This is festival-headline worthy, but for the body, not just the brain. I’m going to be listening to it all year”) are just two of the raves the album has attracted.
The ‘Barefoot In The Park’ video sees Blake work with Diana Kunst & Mau Morgó, who have both previously collaborated with Rosalía as well as working with the likes of A$AP Rocky, FKA Twigs, Spoon, Cut Copy, Little Dragon and Aphex Twin. The narrative follows images of a young James and a young Rosalia as they walk through life and grow into adults.
Alongside the unveiling of the ‘Barefoot In The Park’ video, James Blake will be releasing Assume Form on vinyl on 10 May featuring an additional track, ‘Mullholland’.
