James Blake Announces New ‘Assume Form’ European Dates For 2019
The new dates kick off at the Olympia in Paris on 29 October and conclude at the KB Hall in Copenhagen, on 15 November.
James Blake has announced a further series of European dates on his on-going tour in support of his latest album, Assume Form. The new dates kick off at the Olympia in Paris on 29 October and conclude at the KB Hall in Copenhagen, on 15 November. You can see a full list of the dates below.
Blake is currently on the road and plays London’s prestigious All Points East on 26 May. He will be performing at a number of high-profile European festivals during the summer, with slots at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland on 4 July, Pukkelpop in Belgium on 16 August and the Electric Picnic in Stradbally, Ireland, on 30 August among the shows on his itinerary. For tickets and further information on all the dates, please visit the artist’s official website.
Since Assume Form dropped back in January, it’s garnered glowing reviews, with many noting its seismic shift in mood from Blake’s previous work.
After decamping to Los Angeles, Blake has seemingly discovered the light, finding inspiration in writing and producing for others, as Assume Form reflects.
“With Assume Form, Blake wants to get closer,” the New York Times wrote in their album review. “His previous albums were suffused with loneliness; this one, tentatively and almost incredulously, ponders intimacy.”
Following his summer festival shows, Blake heads stateside for the Made In America festival on 31 August and 1 September, along with Cardi B and Travis Scott as headliners. He then returns to Europe to play the following shows:
29 October: The Olympia, Paris, France
1 November: Club To Club Festival, Turin, Italy
4 November: X-TRA, Zurich, Switzerland
7 November: Gasometer, Vienna, Austria
8 November: Archa Theatre, Prague, Czech Republic
9 November: Verti Music Hall, Berlin, Germany
11 November: Cirque Royal Theatre, Brussels, Belgium
13 November: AFAS Live, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
15 November: KB Hall, Copenhagen, Denmark.
