James Bay To Preview New Songs On Fresh 2022 UK Tour
The returning singer-songwriter has announced a raft of new headline shows across the country
James Bay has announced a new series of UK tour dates due to take place this spring and has told fans he will preview material from his next album at the gigs.
The critically-acclaimed pop singer-songwriter last released an album in 2018 with Electric Light. He is set to confirm details of his third LP imminently.
“Hello to all my UK folks,” Bay wrote on Instagram while announcing the tour. “Very excited to tell you I’m going to be going out on tour with my band again, for the first time in almost THREE years!
“There’s going to be lots of new songs and for a VERY limited time you will be able to get early access to tickets if you pre-order my new album (new album!) The date and title of it are going to be announced very soon.”
Fans must pre-order Bay’s upcoming record before 4pm tomorrow (February 22) to be able to gain early access to the ticket sale. A pre-sale will begin at 9am on Wednesday (23), while the tickets will then go on general sale at 9am on Friday (25). Tickets will be available to purchase here.
In 2020, the Grammy-nominated artist gave a historic performance from the London Eye for The Late Late Show with James Corden. The short performance made him the first act to film at the iconic London landmark since it reopened after the initial COVID-19 lockdown in the UK.
Speaking to Corden, Bay also shared a little about his third album, saying it was a tribute to his longtime girlfriend, Lucy. He shared that she is his “greatest critic, and she’s the most honest in all the best ways that I absolutely need.”
“Chew On My Heart,” the song Bay performed for the US TV show, was released earlier in 2020 and marked the first single to be taken from his upcoming third record.
