Watch The Video For J Balvin’s New Single ’Tu Veneno’
The track follows last month’s ‘Ma’ G’ as the second single from J Balvin’s upcoming studio album.
J Balvin has released his second single of 2021 with the arrival of “Tu Veneno.” The track comes alongside a music video directed by José-Emilio Sagaró. Listen to it here.
“Tu Veneno” follows Balvin’s most recent single “Ma’ G” released last month. Produced by Taiko and Sky Rompiendo, the song narrates a hot and cold relationship. The music video, filmed in Queens, New York, is a cinematic piece following the Colombian superstar as he explores a massive mansion accompanied by a group of skilled dancers.
“Porque yo soy tu veneno, tu veneno, yeah-eh (Ah, Ah) / Te hago mal, pero qué bueno cuando lo hacemo’, yeah-eh (Yeah-eh) / En ti me puse a pensar, en toda’ esa’ bellaqueras cuando conmigo estaba,” he raps softly on the chorus.
Balvin announced his seventh studio earlier this month following the release of “Ma’ G.” Speaking with Rolling Stone he said: “This new album is all about me. It’s the first time I’m going to talk about personal stuff. I’ve never done that before.”
Earlier this week, Balvin revealed the details of his inaugural Neón Experience festival. Based in Las Vegas, the 3-day event is scheduled to take place from September 16 – 19, which also coincides with Mexican Independence Weekend.
The line-up for Neón Experience features appearances a number of Balvin’s close collaborators and international stars. Karol G, Tainy, DJ Pope, Agudel0888, Jowell & Randy, Matt Paris, and Cornetto are scheduled to perform. Also attending are Rauw Alejandro, Alex Sensation, La Gabi, and Jhay Cortez. The festival incorporates after-parties, secret locations, and club appearances. The main portion of the event will be held at Resorts World Las Vegas hotel and casino.
Balvin’s forthcoming album will follow his 2020 release Colores which won a Latin Grammy for Best Urban Music Album. The musician was nominated at Sunday’s Grammy Awards for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Un Dia (One Day)” with Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny, and Tainy.
