Lewis Capaldi, Muse, Lionel Richie, And More To Headline 2022 Isle Of Wight Festival
Other artists set to perform include Kasabian, Sigrid, Blossoms, and more.
Lewis Capaldi, Muse, Kasabian, Lionel Richie, and more are set to headline next year’s Isle Of Wight Festival.
After holding its delayed 2021 edition earlier in September, the festival announced dates and ticket details for its 2022 festival.
Joining the aforementioned headliners include Pete Tong and the Heritage Orchestra’s celebrated Ibiza Classics show (alongside Kasabian on Saturday night).
Also performing over the weekend are Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Blossoms, Rudimental, Tom Grennan, Sigrid, Craig David Presents TS5, The Vaccines, Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott, Shaggy, Happy Mondays, Mavis Staples, UB40 ft Ali Campbell & Astro, The Proclaimers, and The Coral, with more names to be announced.
It’s been an exciting few months for Capaldi. Back in June, it was confirmed that a new documentary chronicling his career was in the works.
The film is being helmed by BAFTA-winning director Joe Pearlman and the creative team behind 2020’s Beastie Boys Story and Beyoncé’s 2016 visual album Lemonade, Pulse Films.
Shot over the course of five years, the documentary will follow Capaldi’s career trajectory, from his seemingly overnight success to a sold-out world tour and recording his forthcoming sophomore album at his family home in Scotland.
“If the immense pressure of writing and recording a second album that has to live up to the expectations of so many people I’ve never met while also attempting to eclipse the commercial success of my previous album wasn’t enough, I decided to film the process in its entirety for your viewing pleasure,” Capaldi shared in an official statement.
“I’m very excited to potentially capture the making of the best album of all time, or more likely, to permanently document the scorching of my dreams as years of my life’s work is received like a pile of flaming shite. Either way, it’s going to be lots of fun and will be lovely to have people along for the ride.”
