Imagine Dragons have made American chart history. The Nevada outfit have monopolized the top four positions on Billboard’s Hot Rock Songs chart, the first time this is ever known to have happened.

Imagine Dragons currently rank at Numbers 1 through 4 on the list dated 4 August as their new single ‘Natural’ surges from No. 13 up to No. 4 following its first full week of tracking, slotting it behind the band’s previous three singles. The song follows, in order, ‘Thunder,’ which returns to No. 1 for a 22nd week, ‘Whatever It Takes’ (which spent 17 weeks at No. 1) and ‘Believer’ which remained at the top for 29 weeks.

Previously, the Las Vegas-based rockers had infused the Hot Rock chart’s top three in 15 weeks, joined in that distinction by twenty one pilots (five such frames).

‘Natural,’ released as the anthem for ESPN’s college football coverage for the 2018-19 season, concurrently rules the Rock Digital Song Sales and Alternative Digital Song Sales charts, marking the band’s seventh leader on each list, with 36,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen Music.

The track also starts at No. 4 on Rock Streaming Songs (5.7 million U.S. streams) and breaks into the top 10 of the Rock Airplay and Alternative Songs charts, at Nos. 9 and 10, respectively (5.8 million audience impressions).

By scoring their ninth top 10 on Alternative Songs, Imagine Dragons are tying with Muse for the second-most top 10s on the chart this decade. The band earned its first top 10 in 2012. Cage The Elephant presently leads with 10 US Top 10s in the 2010s.

As uDiscover Music previously reported, Imagine Dragons are currently on their road on their ongoing Evolve tour. The band’s current run of US dates ends with a show at the Midflorida Credit Union Arena in Tampa, Florida on 10 August, after which Dan Reynolds and company head to Europe for a series of festival dates and arena shows beginning at Belgium’s Pukkelpop Festival on 18 August.
