Iggy Pop has announced the publication of a new book later this year. It’s titled ‘Til Wrong Feels Right and it will bring together selected lyrics illustrated with artwork and photos, along with reflections on his career by himself and others.

The book will be published on 26 September through Viking Books in full-colour hardback, with the launch coinciding with the 50th anniversary of The Stooges’ self-titled debut album.

The synopsis reads: “From fronting the legendary proto-punk band The Stooges to collaborating with an eclectic mix of artists including David Bowie, Debbie Harry, Jarvis Cocker, Death In Vegas, Underworld and Josh Homme, and inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2010, Iggy has proved himself to be one of music’s most iconic, outrageous and enduring music artists.”

Elsewhere in Iggy Pop news, Caroline International recently announced the reissue of the star’s cult classic Zombie Birdhouse, from 1982, which is due to be issued on 28 June 2019. A heady concoction of drones, Afrobeats and freeform lyrics, the album was Iggy’s 6th solo studio album and represents him at his freewheeling best.

The new edition of Zombie Birdhouse has been remastered by Paschal Byrne at The Audio Archive, London. It features the singles ‘Run Like A Villain’ and ‘The Villagers’ and contains sleeve notes by Irvine Welsh along with rare photographs from the original photo-shoot by Esther Friedman. The Zombie Birdhouse reissue ties in neatly this month as Iggy stars as a Zombie in the brand new Jim Jarmusch movie, The Dead Don’t Die.

Before ‘Til Wrong Feels Right is published, Iggy Pop has several live shows planned for throughout the summer across Europe. Find a full list of dates below.
