Genesis Add Six Further UK Dates To Their Reunion Tour
The freshly-announced dates in Liverpool, Newcastle, Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow, taking the tour up to 16 performances.
Genesis have added a further six dates to their reunion tour. The band have revealed further shows in Liverpool, Newcastle, Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow, taking the tally up to 16 performances. Tickets for the new shows are now on sale. Visit the band’s official website for further information.
Earlier this week, Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks revealed a run of nine UK shows along with a date in Dublin under ‘The Last Domino?’ Tour banner.
Genesis’ upcoming reunion tour marks the first gigs the band have played since 2007. Collins, Rutherford and Banks will be joined by long-time guitarist/bassist Daryl Stuermer and Collins’s son Nic Collins on drums.
Speaking exclusively to Prog, Collins said: “There were more reasons to do it than not to do it. If we had to do it the way we used to tour, I don’t think I’d be doing it. But nowadays it can be done differently, and I’ve been doing that for the last couple of years.
Banks added: “After Phil finished his own tour, everybody thought, ‘We could talk about it and see whether it’s a good idea.’
“Once we decided it was a possibility, we wanted to see how it would work out when we played together. So we spent a couple of weeks in January in New York seeing how it sounded. People asked, ‘Why are you here?’ We just said, ‘Oh, for a wedding.’”

I hope they announce some U.S.A..(North America) tour dates at least before they finish the U.K. lev of the Tour. I hope they play some Prog Epics mixed in with their mostly Duke and after Duke Songs. Something like Watcher of The Skies or The Fountain of Salmacis would be cool. Also The Lamb Title Song isn’t too long Or The Lambs closing song It which seems a good power choice for Tour such as theirs. The Musical Box in its entirety would be good enough for me without the others I mentioned. One of there most Epic Tunes Ever IMHO. Also, I know Nic Collins(Phil’s Son) on The Drums is more then capable, but Chester was the Closest thing to a Young Phil being back there..Their Chemistry was second to none. especially when Phil Joined, Pain and All, In The Dial Mastery Of Genesis Prog Drumming in 2007 and before. I heard two different tales. The First was Phil and Chester had a Major Rift and Eventual Falling Out not even speaking to one another. The Other was just Chester Retiring from Music(Drumming). Hope it’s only the Second one. I hope they lower the prices, especially with The World Economic Situation from This Pandemic. It would be The right thing to do and believe me The True Loyal Genesis Fans would be more then appreciative. Think of The Much deserved Free concert Rome received with over 500,000 Genesis Fans in attendance for their being the earliest of The Loyal Fans ( along with Belgium, France, Holland, Greece, etc. ) To Support Genesis 100% no matter what. Genesis rewarded Them.
