The pop pair sang Take That’s 2006 hit ‘Patience’ from their respective homes. Barlow played the tune on the piano while George sang the lead vocals creating a mind-blowing performance as the pair’s vocals perfectly complimented each other.

The Crooner Sessions is a series created by Barlow. Starting in 2020, Barlow started the series to keep people’s spirits up during the first national UK lockdown and the subsequent closure of venues and live events during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The series sees him collaborating with other well-known musicians, from Robbie Williams to Queen’s Brian May, over video call to perform light-hearted covers of famous tracks. Posting a new video every day on YouTube and social media, the series shows a new side to Barlow and the people he performs with as the series focuses on having a good time, rather than demonstrating supreme talent.

The duet with George received praise from fans commenting on YouTube how this installment was a spectacular start to the week which sees many of us still sequestered indoors.

Barlow rose to fame as the lead singer of the band Take That and is regarded as one of the UK’s most successful songwriters. To date, Barlow has written 14 No. 1 singles, 10 of them being for the Take That, three in his solo career with the last being Robbie Williams’ “Candy.”

Take That’s “Patience” peaked at the top of the UK Singles Chart. The track won the Brit Award for 2006’s ‘Song of the Year’ and ‘Best British’ Award at the 2007 BRIT Awards. The track was Take That’s first release since their 1996 split and is largely regarded as the best comeback song ever created by a band or musician in the UK.

Barlow’s released his fifth studio album, Music Played By Humans this past November and scored his 11th No.1 album in UK. The long-awaited release featured appearances by such esteemed artists as Michael Bublé, Sebastián Yatra, Beverley Knight, Barry Manilow, and Alesha Dixon, among others.
