The track made its premiere as Zane Lowe’s World Record over at Beats 1 today on 24 July and advances the band’s stylistic shift towards a Brazilian disco-inspired sound.

‘Run The Wildflowers’ kicks off with a jungle beat intro and continues to build momentum through a swirl of spacey synths.

This euphoric anthem follows the previously released singles, ‘Love Like Waves’, ‘Heaven Let Me In’, and ‘Silhouettes’ off Inflorescent.

Working with acclaimed electronic producer-musicians Mark Ralph (Jaz Jones, Years & Years), James Ford (Simian Mobile Disco) and Disclosure, the St Albans group have spent the last 18 moths, recording their follow-up to their critically acclaimed album, Pala.

Fusing their signature electronica sound with Tropicalia other global elements, ‘Run The Wildflowers’ is another exciting glimpse at what their new album will bring.

Following an eight-year hiatus, Inflorescent has been a longtime in the making, but as the band tells it, their break was a necessary one. “If we had ploughed straight through with making a third record, we wouldn’t have been here today,” said guitarist Edd Gibson. “Eeking out a third album would have destroyed the band and our relationships.”

After making their live return last year with a series of intimate shows, the Brit Award and Mercury Prize-nominated group returned in full force, performing at Glastonbury, Citadel, and Isle of Wight.

The group also recently announced a UK and European tour for October and November 2019, that kicks off at London’s iconic Roundhouse venue in Camden, before making stops in Birmingham, Manchester and Dublin and heading to the US on 24 September to play Elsewhere in Brooklyn.

Tickets will on general sale Friday, 26 July 10am local time.
