Emeli Sandé won the Song Writing Award sponsored by Glasgow live music venue King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, while veteran rocker Alice Cooper won the Best International Artist Award, sponsored by Chisholm Hunter.

In addition, a highlight of the evening was a personalised video message from The Rolling Stones, who sent a message for the Winner of the Scottish Music Hall of Fame, sponsored by the Royal Highland Centre. This year, the event winner was Ian Stewart, The Stones’ late tour manager and pianist, who was born in Fife.
