Drake And Post Malone Among 2019 iHeartRadio Music Award Nominations
Also leading the hip-hop noms is Post Malone, who snagged five nominations including Male Artist Of The Year and Hip-Hop Artist Of The Year, as well as Song Of The Year for ‘Better Now’.
With awards season officially underway, iHeartMedia announced today (9 January) the nominees for the sixth annual iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Topping the list of nominees is breakout star of 2018, Cardi B with 13 nominations, including many for her hit collaborative tracks including ‘Girls Like You’ with Maroon 5 and ‘I Like It’ with Bad Bunny and J Balvin.
Following just behind her is chart fixture Drake, with eight nominations, three of which are for Hip-Hop Song Of The Year: ‘God’s Plan’, ‘In My Feelings’ and ‘Nice for What’.
Also leading the hip-hop noms is Post Malone, who snagged five nominations including Male Artist Of The Year and Hip-Hop Artist Of The Year, as well as Song Of The Year for ‘Better Now’.
“It’s no secret why this year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards nominees are a Who’s Who of music,” says John Sykes, president of iHeartMedia Entertainment Enterprises. “These are the artists and the songs iHeartRadio listeners couldn’t get enough of this past year. It’s going to be an unforgettable show.”
Unlike other awards shows, iHeart incorporates fan voting for a number of different categories, including Best Lyrics, Best Cover Song and Best Music Video, among others. Voting is officially open to the public and can be accessed here.
The iHeartRadio Music Awards will take place on 14 March at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. See the full list of nominees below.
