DJ Khaled And Nickelodeon Share Music Video For Lil Baby, Lil Uzi Vert, And Future-Assisted ‘Supposed To Be Loved’
The song will be featured on Khaled’s upcoming album ‘TIL NEXT TIME.’
Nickelodeon has presented DJ Khaled’s exclusive premiere of his music video for his buzzing anthem “Supposed To Be Loved,” which features Lil Baby, Future, and Lil Uzi Vert.
The video made its global debut on Nickelodeon’s Official YouTube Channel, with a simultaneous broadcast premiere on Nick Music at 7am PT/10am ET. Check it out below.
Nickelodeon flips the script with the visual: this blockbuster boasts child actors in the roles of its elite trio of guests—Lil Baby, Future, and Lil Uzi Vert. Social media star Julian Shapiro-Barnum, who runs the viral Recess Therapy Instagram, also makes an appearance, uniting hip-hop royalty, Nickelodeon, and Recess Therapy as only DJ Khaled can.
“Supposed To Be Loved” has already posted up 10 million Spotify streams, and is currently Top 10 at Urban radio. Right out of the gate, Rolling Stone applauded how “the pulsating, upbeat track sees the collaborators rapping about loving someone the way they’re supposed to be loved.”
Rap Radar highlighted, “Over TM88’s sped-up sample of Michael Jackson’s ‘P.Y.T.,’ Lil Baby, Future, and Lil Uzi Vert treat their ladies with the finer things in life.” Beyond plugs from Complex and more, HotNewHipHop raved, “All three artists give of great vocal performances and are in harmony with one another. Meanwhile, the production is uplifting and has that typical Khaled sound to it.”
The epic first single will be featured on his new album, TIL NEXT TIME. The project is set to be the first offering from Khaled’s newly minted partnership We The Best Music Group/Def Jam Recordings.
Khaled personally broke the news of the new album and single by sharing a trailer co-starring his sons Asahd and Aalam Tuck Khaled as well as his Queen Nicole Tuck Khaled. The clip opens with Khaled on the golf course where he starts his day. He sinks a seemingly impossible shot as the video intersperses vignettes from his life at the beach, on a yacht, on a horse, on the basketball court, a soccer field, back on the golf course, and in the studio.
