‘Christmas With Andrea Bocelli And Friends’ Airing Christmas Eve On CBS
The Recording Academy’s star-studded holiday special will also stream live and on-demand on Paramount+.
The Recording Academy, former Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich, and CBS are teaming up for a special that will bring holiday music to the airwaves on Christmas Eve. “Christmas With Andrea Bocelli And Friends: A Grammy Holiday Special will air Tuesday, Dec. 24 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. The show will also stream live and on-demand on Paramount+.
Bocelli, the world-renowned tenor, will welcome guests including his wife, Veronica Bocelli, and their daughter, Virginia Bocelli. Sofia Carson, Josh Groban, and Grammy winners Jennifer Hudson and Dua Lipa will also perform on the show.
“With this special, we are not only celebrating the holidays, but also one of music’s greatest voices,” Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. said. “We invite families everywhere to tune in and enjoy the festive performances that Andrea and his amazing guests have in store for us all.”
Bocelli added, “All my life, I’ve enjoyed entertaining people in person, on record, on film, and on television, and to have the opportunity of doing so on CBS, where I have had many memorable appearances over the years, and with the Recording Academy, which has been a supporter of classical music for decades, is quite exciting.” The opera legend continued, “I am really looking forward to sharing performances with both friends and family on my own Christmas special.”
Bocelli has spent 2024 celebrating his 30th anniversary in music, first with an Oscars performance alongside Matteo Bocelli, then through the release of his new album Duets and the concert film Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration. Now, “Christmas With Andrea Bocelli And Friends” will cap off the year-long festivities.
Ehrlich, who’ll write the show, is part of a roster of executive producers that also includes Mason, Veronica Bocelli, and Francesco Pasquero. Additionally, Renato Basile will be supervising producer, Branden Chapman will produce, and Julia Knowles will direct.
