Singer-Actress Chrissy Metz Does It Her Way On New Single ‘Feel Good’
The actress and recording artist has spent much of the summer working on her forthcoming project for EMI Nashville.
Singer-actress Chrissy Metz has released her new song “Feel Good,” which is available to stream and download now. The EMI Nashville artist wrote the track with Nicolette Hayford, Connie Herrington, Aaron Raitiere, and Jake Mitchell.
“Feel Good” comes in the wake of Metz’s debut performance in July at the Grand Ole Opry, on the same bill as gospel star CeCe Winans, and the release the month before of the single “Actress.” The new song stands for the moment that the star of NBC’s hit series This Is Us and the film Breakthrough realized that it was time to live life for herself.
“I started to feel good when I allowed myself to do the things that I wanted to do like pursuing music,” she says. “I can’t worry about what people are going to say, think, or do. I’ve got to do what feels good to me.” The release of “Feel Good” leads into the launch of Metz’s fashion collaboration with ELOQUII Elements, which will be hosted exclusively at Walmart. She chooses some of her most-loved pieces in the collection here.
The award-winning actress and recording artist has spent much of the summer working on her forthcoming project for EMI Nashville. In addition to the Opry performance, she also recently sang another of her recent tracks, “Talking To God,” on NBC’s Today, in the Citi Music Series.
In 2018, two years after the debut of the hugely successful This Is Us series, Metz published the memoir This Is Me: Loving The Person You Are Today. It went straight to the top of the New York Times Best Sellers list. She is also the presenter of the weekly Country Faith Radio series for Apple Music. The show airs every Sunday, and on today’s (13) edition she welcomes country star Josh Turner to talk about his gospel roots.
