The Chemical Brothers Announce Major Show At London’s Alexandra Palace
The Chemical Brothers have announced details of a huge London show for later this year. The electronic music pioneers will play the city’s Alexandra Palace on Friday, 5 October, marking their first headline show after a hectic summer schedule that will see them performing at a variety of festivals including Boardmasters in Cornwall.
This will be the first time that the duo have performed at the famous 10,000 capacity Alexandra Palace and tickets will go on sale from 9am on Friday, 23 February.
Although the hugely influential duo are yet to release a follow-up to 2015’s Born In The Echoes, they most recently unveiled the epic video for new single ‘C-H-E-M-I-C-A-L’ in 2016.
Keeping in the spirit of the duo’s mind-expanding and trippy live shows, the visuals were created and directed by long-time collaborator Adam Smith at RSA – made up of distorted images from childrens’ TV shows as shapes shift through one long dance led by the rave icons.
Since their 1995 debut the Manchester duo have become pioneers of the big beat genre alongside legends Fatboy Slim and The Prodigy. They’ve also had huge commercial success including scoring six UK No 1 albums and headliners at festivals across the UK and beyond, including their hometown’s Parklife Festival.
