Cheap Trick Announce Festive New Album ‘Christmas Christmas’
Acclaimed North American rockers Cheap Trick will rock in the Yuletide season with the release of their first holiday-themed album Christmas Christmas, due for release on 20 October 20 on Big Machine Records.
Arriving just a matter of months after their critically acclaimed 18th studio album We’re All Alright!, Cheap Trick co-produced the holiday collection alongside their long-time collaborator, Grammy Award winner Julian Raymond (Glen Campbell, Fastball).
With Christmas Christmas, Cheap Trick deliver a sleigh-full of Rock & Roll Christmas classics and festive favourites, including favourites previously recorded by Wizzard, Slade, Chuck Berry, The Ramones, The Kinks and more in addition to new, self-penned offerings such as the album’s joyous lead track, ‘Merry Christmas Darlings’.
Cheap Trick, whose four decade-plus career has seen them play more than 5,000 shows and counting, remain on the road this autumn for a string of U.S. headline dates, festival appearances and as special guests on Nickelback’s Feed The Machine arena tour.
The band have been busy since their long-awaited induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016. The induction honoured both the band and the pioneering sound that has earned them total record sales well in excess of 20 million featured appearances and more than 40 international gold and platinum certifications.
Christmas Christmas will be released on 20 October. Scroll down to read the full tracklist, and buy the release here.
