C2C 2016 Announces Yamaha Stage Attractions
The second stage at the 2016 edition of the Country To Country Festival at The 02 in London — launched at this year’s country music celebration as the Satellite stage, and now to be renamed the Yamaha Music Stage — will feature some of Nashville’s hottest new talent.
The bill for the 11-13 March, 2016 shows were announced today (13 November), and will feature six outstanding acts, with a seventh still to be added. This year’s Satellite stage featured enthusiastically-received performances by British actor-singer Sam Palladio, fellow Brits the Shires and Ward Thomas, and American bestseller Sam Hunt.
Ashley Monroe (pictured above), the much in-demand Nashville songwriter and performer, was confirmed as the first artist for 2016’s second stage at last month’s launch event. She will be joined on Friday 11 March by the yet-to-be-unveiled name, then on Saturday 12, the stage will welcome High Valley, the Canadian duo comprising Brad and Curtis Rempel, and Texan singer Maren Morris, both now making their mark in Nashville.
Sunday 13 March will bring a return visit to C2C by Striking Matches, the dynamic duo of Sarah Zimmerman and Justin Davis, who played the free, pop-up stages at both this and last year’s events, but will now be back in the Arena. They’ll be joined on the Yamaha Music Stage bill by chart sensation Frankie Ballard, who’s had three consecutive country No. 1s with ‘Sunshine & Whiskey,’ ‘Helluva Life’ and ‘Young & Crazy.’
