The original Lil Nas X/Cyrus megahit ‘Old Town Road’ logged a record-setting 19 weeks at No. 1 on North America’s Billboard Hot 100 and is nominated for record of the year. Lil Nas X is up for seven Grammys at this year’s ceremony, including three for ‘Old Town Road (Remix)’: Record of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and Best Music Video.

Also, in a tribute to Ken Ehrlich, artists associated with Ehrlich’s 40-year tenure as the Grammys’ producer or executive producer will gather to perform ‘I Sing the Body Electric’ from the film and TV series Fame. The performance will feature current nominees Camila Cabello, Gary Clark Jr. and John Legend, as well as Debbie Allen, Joshua Bell, Common, Misty Copeland, Lang Lang, Cyndi Lauper, Ben Platt, and The War And Treaty.

Ehrlich produced two seasons of the 1982-‘87 Fame TV series which followed on the success of the 1980 film of the same name. It brought him his second (of nine) Emmy nominations, for outstanding drama series of 1984. Dean Pitchford and Michael Gore, who won an Oscar for co-writing ‘Fame,’ also co-wrote ‘I Sing the Body Electric’ from that film.

“To bring high-calibre artists like [these] together on one stage fulfils a dream of mine,” said Ehrlich. “To be able to do this on the Grammy stage makes it unforgettable for me.”

Previously announced performers at the 2020 Grammy Awards include Aerosmith, Cabello, Brandi Carlile, Billie Eilish, Kirk Franklin, Ariana Grande, H.E.R., Jonas Brothers, DJ Khaled, Legend, Lizzo, Demi Lovato, Meek Mill, Roddy Ricch, Rosalía, Run-D.M.C., Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Tanya Tucker, Tyler, The Creator, Charlie Wilson, and YG.
