Bryan Adams Gifts Fans New Christmas EP Featuring ‘Joe And Mary’
Two new recordings on the EP are accompanied by three previously released holiday songs by the Canadian star.
Bryan Adams has today (15) unveiled his new Christmas EP, a festive five-track release via Polydor Records. It includes two brand new recordings by the Canadian rock star and photographer, plus three previously released holiday recordings.
The lead track on the EP is ‘Joe and Mary,’ an original track from the Grammy-winning Adams, for which a video will be released soon. The other new recording is his version of ‘Must Be Santa’, the Bill Fredericks/Hal Moore song covered by Bob Dylan on his 2009 festive release Christmas In The Heart. These are accompanied by the previously released ‘Christmas Time’, ‘Reggae Christmas’ and ‘Merry Christmas’.
“I’m excited to be releasing this Christmas EP,” says Adams. “It was fun to record some new tracks and make a video for ‘Joe and Mary.’ I can’t wait for everyone to hear them, alongside some of my classic Christmas songs.”
In his stellar, four-decade career, Adams has sold over 65 million albums and maintained a reputation as one of the most powerful and charismatic of live entertainers. He continues to perform an average of over 120 concerts a year worldwide. His next concert is tomorrow (16) in Istanbul, after which he plays in Athens (18) and then travels to Spain for dates in Murcia (3) and Seville (5).
On New Year’s Eve, Adams will be back in his home country to headline a free outdoor concert at Queen Victoria Park at Niagara Falls, Ontario. The event, also featuring a performance by Walk Off The Earth, will feature two fireworks displays, at 9.15pm and midnight. It will take place to the spectacular backdrop of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, and offers dining options by Niagara Parks Culinary.
Adams is also featured on the new holiday album by Robbie Williams, The Christmas Present, duetting on a version of ‘Christmas (Baby Please Come Home).’
