Bohemian Rhapsody, A Star Is Born and the Black Panther soundtrack are among the nominees for the 91st Academy Awards. After months of speculation, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has unveiled the nominees for the event, best known as the Oscars.

Bohemian Rhapsody has been nominated in the prestigious Best Picture category, along with gaining nods for Best Film Editing and Best Sound Mixing, while the film’s star Rami Malek is up for Best Actor. Black Panther and A Star Is Born are also among the nominees for Best Picture, while A Star Is Born’s co-stars Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga have received nominations for Best Actor and Best Actress respectively. Laday Gaga’s ‘Shallow’ from A Star Is Born also received a nod for Best Original Song.

The nominations announcement took place after a roller coaster awards season in which Best Picture prizes have gone to a wide range of films also including art house favorite Roma and mainstream hit Green Book. As uDiscover Music previously reported, The Oscars ceremony will take place on Sunday, 24 February at 8pm ET.
