The date will mark the K-pop girl group’s debut festival appearance in London
BLACKPINK have been confirmed to headline one day of the American Express presents BST Hyde Park line-up in 2023.
The superstar K-pop girl group will make their London festival debut at the event on July 2, 2023, joining the likes of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Billy Joel, and P!NK on the bill.
Tickets for BLACKPINK’s BST Hyde Park date will be available to American Express Cardmembers in a special presale from 10am BST today (October 21), while a BST presale will begin at 10am on Monday (24). Tickets will then go on general sale at 10am on Thursday (27) and will be available to purchase here.
The festival date follows the YG Entertainment four-piece announcing a pair of dates at London’s The O2 as part of their BORN PINK world tour. The concerts will take place in November 2022, and tickets sold out instantly for both dates.
The BORN PINK tour kicked off last weekend (October 15) in the group’s hometown of Seoul, South Korea, with a pair of shows at the city’s KSPO Dome. During the events, they served up a setlist pulling from their latest album, BORN PINK, their 2020 debut LP THE ALBUM, and the solo works of the individual members – Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa.
Upon its release in September, BORN PINK scored BLACKPINK their first-ever No.1 Album in the UK and the US. By topping the Billboard 200 chart, they also achieved the first chart-topping album for a girl group in the States in 14 years.
Meanwhile, earlier this week, the K-pop megastars teamed up with Spotify for a special “Blend” playlist that will allow fans to combine their musical tastes with those of the band members. The group have chosen a variety of their favorite songs, which will be included within the Blend playlist made just for fans so they can see where their tastes overlap and discover new music in the process.
