Black Eyed Peas have just shared a new music video for a new song titled ‘Ring The Alarm Pt.1, Pt.2, Pt.3’, which is available via Interscope Records. The track comes on the heels of their previous politically charged single and video for ‘Street Livin’ which exploded back in January when it was released. ‘Ring The Alarm Pt.1, Pt.2, Pt.3’ is a continuation of the call-to-action for reform on issues such as police brutality, prison reform, gun reform and immigration.

In conjunction with ‘Ring The Alarm’, the group is announcing the launch of their new website in partnership with Sweet TM, where fans can for the first time earn a digital token called Sugar TM, for performing meaningful social and user actions on behalf of the Peas.

Together the Peas and Sweet are creating the first, open global economy where artists, performers, talent and brands can reward their fans and users with ‘Sugar Tokens’ – a “social spendable value” – for performing social actions and engaging in digital activities which in turn provide benefit to the artists and performers.

With the Sweet platform, fans and users earn Sugar Tokens directly from the Black Eyed Peas, for undertaking actions that get their message out. Users can then redeem Sugar for exciting rewards, often cool and unique experiences not available anywhere else, such as VIP access, exclusive content, meet and greets, and shout-outs – all in an exciting open global marketplace. Fans are invited to register for a Sweet wallet directly at the band’s website and jump right into the social action.

The LA-based outfit have sold an estimated 76 million records (35 million albums and 41 million singles), making them one of the world’s best-selling groups of all time. As of 2011, according to Nielsen SoundScan, the Black Eyed Peas were the second-best-selling artist/group of all time for downloaded tracks, behind Rihanna, with over 42 million sales.
