This is the first new music from the young pop phenom since she released her James Bond theme song “No Time To Die” back in February. The singer also performed the song during the 2020 BRIT Awards.

After the movie was postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and Eilish’s world tour with Jessie Reyez was also delayed, the singer has spent most of her quarantine hosting a charming Apple Music radio show with her father, appropriately called ‘me & dad’ radio.

On the show, the father and daughter duo cover a range of topics from what kind of music Eilish grew up with, and how her views on religion and other topics have evolved as she’s grown older.

Along with praising millennium pop artists like Britney Spears and Avril Lavigne, Eilish once again talked about her love for the Beatles, in particular, their Abbey Road single, “Something.”

“I think that it’s such a well-put song. I think the lyrics say something that I barely hear, and I feel like lots of people are saying something similar, but I feel like only The Beatles could say exactly this,” she shared.” It’s such a thing that we feel; it’s such a human feeling.”

Eilish also added that the Fab Four were, “the main pool of music” she listened to while growing up. “This is one out of basically all of their songs that I loved and adored growing up, but this one really stuck with me. I think part of the reason this song used to make me feel so emotional is I just wanted somebody to feel this way about me so bad. I felt this way about a thousand people because I was a little love-crazed child.”

The alt-pop’s star love of the Beatles is well documented. She performed a stunning rendition of “Yesterday” – along with her brother and creative partner Finneas – at the 92nd Academy Awards back in February.

Outside of “No Time To Die”, the only single Eilish has released outside of her debut album was the 2019 track, “everything i wanted,” back in November.

Since then fans have anxiously awaited new music from the global pop phenomenon.
