Billie Eilish Releases Self-Directed Video For ‘Male Fantasy’
Earlier this month, Billie partnered with Gucci for the release of a limited edition ‘Happier Than Ever’ vinyl.
Billie Eilish has released a brand new self-directed and edited video for “Male Fantasy,” taken from her new album, Happier Than Ever.
In the video, Billie captures herself in a mirror, drenched in black and blue colors, morose as her first verse finds her contemplating her situation: “Home alone, tryin’ not to eat/ Distract myself with pornography/ I hate the way she looks at me/ I can’t stand the dialogue, she would never be/ That satisfied, it’s a male fantasy/ I’m going back to therapy
Earlier this month, Billie partnered with Gucci for the release of a limited edition Happier Than Ever vinyl created entirely from leftover recycled materials gathered during the original pressing of the record.
The Happier Than Ever vinyl comes packaged in a decorative box with Gucci-branded nail stickers both designed by the fashion house’s creative director Alessandro Michele. The pair have previously collaborated on crafting unforgettable red carpet looks for the young musician including her 2021 Grammy Awards look.
“So excited to share my limited edition “Happier Than Ever” vinyl and Gucci nail stickers featuring an exclusive box designed by Alessandro Michele,” Eilish wrote on Instagram. “The vinyl is made from recycled vinyl scraps from all the colors of the original pressing of the record and each piece is completely unique!”
The Gucci Happier Than Ever record is a limited release only available in store at select flagship stores internationally. The participating locations include Paris Flagship Royale in Paris, France; Berlin Kurfürstendamm in Berlin, Germany; Milano Monte Napoleone Flagship in Milan, Italy; Madrid Serrano in Madrid, Spain; London Sloane Flagship in London, United Kingdom; Beverly Hills Flagship in Los Angeles, California and Gucci Wooster in New York City.
The set release is available in-stores now – though some locations have already sold out of the exclusive record. The price of the set has not been shared online. On the official Billie Eilish webstore, the original pressings of Happier Than Ever are still available in powder blue, golden yellow, rust, orange, sage and black.
Earlier this year, Eilish and Michele appeared at Vogue’s Forces of Fashion conference to discuss their creative partnership. “The process is very natural,” says Eillish, to which Michele added: “We share a lot of things, maybe more than what we talk about, secret things, and that’s beautiful.”

Love the self-direction on this video! Billie Eilish continues to push the boundaries of pop music with her unique vision. The video for ‘Male Fantasy’ is a bold statement on the male gaze and the objectification of women. Can’t wait to see what she does next!
