Ashlee Simpson Ross Shares Expanded Edition of ‘Autobiography’
The digital expanded edition is out now, while vinyl versions land on August 30th.
Ashlee Simpson Ross has released a new, expanded edition of her debut album Autobiography in celebration of its 20th anniversary. A digital version is out today, while two exclusive vinyl versions sold via Urban Outfitters and Interscope.com respectively will be out on August 30th. Both vinyls are available for pre-order now. The new version features three special bonus tracks: “Harder Every Day,” “Sorry,” and “Endless Summer.”
Autobiography, which Simpson Ross released in summer 2004 while starring on the first season of her MTV reality series The Ashlee Simpson Show, quickly climbed to the top of the Billboard Hot 200. The success was in part attributed to the popularity of Simpson Ross’ show, which had chronicled her day-to-day life as she prepared to release the album.
Simpson Ross also shared a new ATMOS mix of her debut hit “Pieces of Me,” Autobiography’s lead single and one of her most widely-known tracks to date. Peaking at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, the track was named Song of the Summer at the 2004 Teen Choice Awards and was certified platinum by 2005.
To celebrate Autobiography‘s anniversary, Simpson Ross is also holding a party at West Hollywood nightclub Evita on Saturday, July 20th. RuPaul’s Drag Race UK stars Tayce and Cara Melle will perform live alongside DJ sets from Gia Woods and Rhea Raj. Jessica L’Whor, Perla, and Noels Ark will also perform while DJs Aaron Colbert & Mateo Segade provide sounds on the dance floor. Tickets are still available for purchase here.
