Heart’s Ann Wilson Confirmed For 2020 Ramblin’ Man Fair
She joins a bill which also includes Lynyrd Skynyrd,The Quireboys, Hawkwind, Rival Sons, Big Big Train, Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons and more.
Heart vocalist Ann Wilson has been confirmed to perform at the 2020 Ramblin’ Man Fair.
Wilson will play on Ramblin’ Man’s main stage on the Sunday, where she’s expected to perform tracks from the Heart back catalogue along with cuts from her solo career.
Also joining the main stage on Sunday will be blues rockers Blues Pills who will play tracks from their self-titled debut album and its follow-up ‘Lady In Gold’. And with a new studio album expected later this year, perhaps they’ll take the opportunity to air a few new songs.
The festival of rock, prog, country and blues will take place at Mote Park, Maidstone, Kent, on 17, 18 and 19 July, with artists including The Quireboys, Hawkwind, Rival Sons, Big Big Train, Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons and Monster Truck and Clutch among the bands previously confirmed.
Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Ramblin’ Man Fair show, meanwhile, will be the iconic Alabama outfit’s only UK show of 2020.
The Ramblin’ Man team said in a statement: “With over 50 years in the music business,[Lynyrd Skynyrd] have been through tragedy and all that rock’n’roll could throw at them and have always come out on top. This is part of their farewell tour and it just maybe your last chance to catch them live.”
In December it was announced that Billy Bob Thornton & The Boxmasters would headline the Outlaw Stage, while Clutch will perform a total of three sets across the full weekend.
“We are very flattered to have been asked to do three sets at Ramblin’ Man 2020,” says Clutch’s Neil Fallon. “We plan to make each set as distinct as possible. The first set, on Friday, will be the barn burner, Saturday will be more of a semi-acoustic set, and for Sunday we plan to invite many friends to jam out to the end. Then, we will sleep.”
Ramblin’ Man Fair tickets are on sale now. Visit the event’s official website for further information about this year’s festival.
