Aloe Blacc Celebrates 10 Years Of ‘Lift Your Spirit’ With Deluxe Editions
The updated collections, which feature exclusive bonus tracks, are all out now.
Aloe Blacc is celebrated the 10th anniversary of his critically acclaimed third studio album Lift Your Spirit with the release of a special deluxe edition from XIX Recordings/Interscope Records/UMe.
This deluxe edition, available today, features the original album plus seven bonus tracks. Additionally, there are two other digital releases being made available for the first time: Naked (Acapella) and Instrumentals.
Since its release in 2014, Lift Your Spirit has gained fans across the world, thanks in large part to hit singles such as “The Man” and “Wake Me Up (Acoustic).” The album reached No.4 on the US Billboard Charts and was nominated for Best R&B Album at the GRAMMYs. With production by Pharrell Williams and DJ Khalil, the album’s blend of soul, pop, and folk influences, combined with Blacc’s signature voice and poignant lyrics, has solidified its place in the singer’s celebrated discography.
On the new edition, Naked (Acapella) strips away all instrumentation to showcase Blacc’s emotive voice in its purest form while Instrumentals allow fans to enjoy the arrangements that underpin the album.
The Digital Deluxe Edition with Bonus Tracks includes the original album along with three additional songs that were previously only available on special editions or in international markets, providing a fresh listening experience for longtime fans and new listeners alike.
“Celebrating a decade of Lift Your Spirit is a profound milestone for me,” says Aloe Blacc. “This album represents a pivotal moment in my career, and I am thrilled to offer fans these new editions that highlight the depth and versatility of the music we created.”
He continues, “I hope these unreleased versions inspire and uplift listeners just as the original album did.”
The album was nominated for the Best R&B Album at the 57th Grammy Awards in 2015. Production credits, outside of the aforementioned Pharrell and DJ Khalil, include Rock Mafia.
