Alice Cooper Announces Second US Leg Of ‘Paranormal’ Tour For 2018
Alice Cooper has announced an extensive North American tour running through the fall of 2018. The legendary rocker took to the road late in 2017 to promote his 27th album Paranormal and he now picks the trek up again this summer starting on August 3 in Wisconsin and now running through the end of October, including a lengthy series of shows in Canada, from British Columbia across to Ontario.
The Las Vegas (10 August) and Los Angeles (12 August) dates on the Paranormal tour will feature a special guest as support – original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley.
Produced by Bob Ezrin, Paranormal featured Cooper collaborating with iconic fellow guests such as ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, U2’s Larry Mullen and Deep Purple’s Roger Glover and was extremely well received by the critics.
Alice Cooper, who turned 70 in February, said in a 2017 interview that he has no plans to retire from touring. “The live show is something I’ll never give up,” he said. “To me, the lyrics to the songs are the script to what’s going to happen on stage. If you sing ‘Welcome To My Nightmare’, you have to give the fans something. There are places where you have to kill the ballerina, you know. That’s how I design the show. It’s all about the lyrics.”
