Alice Cooper To Host Halloween Storytime Online
The procceds will go to North Star Reach, a barrier-free, fully accessible, medical specialty camp which provides life-changing experiences for children with significant health challenges.
Legendary shock rocker Alice Cooper will host a one-time-only Halloween storytime hour on October 21, only on Airbnb. Bookings for fans and families will open next Wednesday, October 14 at 9 a.m. PT. Visit Airbnb’s official website for further information.
The famed musician will join fans and families for a read-along featuring spiders and spirits, goblins and ghosts and monsters and mutants — all the Halloween haunted delights, all in full costume (of course).
Ten families (children age 6+) will have the opportunity to participate, with tickets costing $100 each. 100% of proceeds for the Alice Cooper Halloween Online Experience will go to North Star Reach, a barrier-free, fully accessible, medical specialty camp that provides incredible, life-changing camp experiences for children with significant health challenges and their families, all at no charge.
“Love a good scare? Me too”, Cooper said in a statement.
“With Halloween all but canceled, we’ll have to take our penchant for terror to the scariest place I know — the Internet.
“Join me for a spooky story session to celebrate the season. We’ll read about spiders and spirits, goblins and ghosts and monsters and mutants — all of my favorite things, really. And we’ll do it in full costume. It’ll be a scary good time. (And suitable for children ages 6+ with an appetite for fright.)”
Further, Airbnb has all the right ingredients to brew up a spooktacular Halloween. From kid friendly to extra scary, Airbnb’s Online Experiences — including ghost huntings in a haunted opera house & self-love spell creation courses — will leave you howling at the moon with delight.
Cooper released a new song, “Don’t Give Up”, in May as a “spontaneous reaction to the challenges facing us all right now.”
He said in a statement, “It’s a song about what we’ve all been going through right now and about keeping our heads up and fighting back together.”
Cooper previously called on fans to share either a photo or a video of them holding up signs with messages of unity using lyrics from the track. More than 20,000 responded, and Cooper hand-picked his favourites to be included in the final promo.
