“Break my heart on boxing day, but please can we make it to Christmas,” she sings in her smoky alto over a bouncy beat and holiday bells.
Alessia Cara has officially joined the holiday songs arms race with her infectious new seasonal single, ‘Make It To Christmas’.
The Canadian singer-songwriter is wise beyond her 23 years, writing how most couples are really just trying to make it through the holidays.
“Break my heart on boxing day, but please can we make it to Christmas,” she sings in her smoky alto over a bouncy beat and holiday bells.
It sounds like the perfect single to soundtrack every holiday rom-com for countless seasons to come.
“Darling, I know our love is going cold, but there’s just something about the snow this time of year that makes us lose our way.”
