6LACK Releases Anticipated ‘6 PC Hot’ EP
The six-song EP features the acclaimed artist’s recent singles ‘ATL Freestyle’ and ‘Float’ plus ‘Know My Rights’ feat. Lil Baby.
6LACK has just returned with his new EP, 6 PC HOT via LVRN/Interscope Records, marking the singer, songwriter and rapper’s first release since his best-selling album, East Atlanta Love Letter (2018). The six-song EP includes recent singles ‘ATL Freestyle’ and ‘Float’ and features production from the likes of Timbaland, Fwdslxsh, Gravez and STWO, plus a guest appearance from Lil Baby.
The anticipated EP has already been receiving praise from a variety of outlets. Hypebeast called 6 PC HOT “Stunning… the six-track EP hears the crooner at his best yet.” The NME called it, “beautifully produced and filled with honest, unrefined conversations about love, life and sacrifices…it puts the Atlanta crooner in prime position to take over as the leader of R&B’s new school”.
In addition to giving fans the gift of new music, the Grammy-nominated artist has also released a collection of limited-edition merch, all available through an innovative 3D shop. Thanks to the work of 3D motion designer Jackie Carlise, fans can use Instagram to enter an augmented reality version of the chicken shop pictured on the EP cover to view 6 PC HOT merch, including 6LACK’s new “600 Degrees” hot sauce.
To celebrate his new EP and hot sauce, the Atlanta-based artist has also teamed up with Postmates and his favourite local restaurant, Goodfellas, as part of his 6LACK on Black Business initiative. Through 28 June, customers can order a custom 6LACK wing item from Goodfellas for $6 via Postmates and, as a special bonus, they’ll also receive a free bottle of 600 Degrees.
Fans in Los Angeles can also enjoy a chance to sample 600 Degrees, by signing up via 6LACKBOX.com, while Australians can find custom orders wings orders this weekend via Butter.
6LACK created 6LACKBOX.com recently as a resource for his fans. The site includes a variety of information on voting, supporting Black businesses and details on social justice events, as well as a trove of exclusive material, including snippets of unreleased music, never-before-seen photos and the East Atlanta Love Letter movie. The 6LACKBOX will also feature content leading up to the artist’s third studio album.
