6LACK Releases New Acoustic Project ‘No More Lonely Nights’
The collection arrives on the one year anniversary of his celebrated ‘Since I Have A Lover’ album.
6LACK has released No More Lonely Nights, an acoustic project that celebrates the one year anniversary of his Grammy-nominated album, Since I Have A Lover.
The new acoustic renditions bring to life the depth, range, and healing spirit at the core of Since I Have A Lover. No More Lonely Nights captures the raw emotion that lines the collection of songs — ones that delve into 6LACK’s personal journey with mental health, healing, personal growth, love, and his own journey of finding his way. In short, it chronicles the good and the bad.
The album features collaborations with Don Toliver, Wale, India Shawn, Ty Dolla $ign, and QUIN, with production by Leon Thomas, OZ, Fwdslxsh, Scribz Riley, EarthGang’s Olu, Teddy Walton, and others.
In celebration, 6LACK recently performed the acoustic renditions for the first time in New York City. Additionally, he did a special sold-out performance of the tracks in his hometown of Atlanta on March 24.
The last time 6LACK shared new music was in September, when he shared two new songs via LVRN/Interscope Records ahead of what was then first headlining tour in over six years.
The exhilarating track “Homicide” found 6LACK and singer/songwriter Jessie Reyez coming together after many years of friendship and deep admiration for one another. On the track, the two artists breathe life into the complexities of intense love, infatuation, and the synergy of the two, painting a portrait of a fatal tango between two lovers. The strong, years-long bond between the two artists is almost palpable through the track, as it tastefully bridges their equally compelling vocals together.
The stirring track “Mean It” chronicles a moving confessional and showcases 6LACK’s unmatched dexterity through a striking vast sonic terrain.
Back in July, 6LACK unveiled a new sleep soundscape album based on Since I Have A Lover, made in collaboration with Endel. To expand the album’s impact and reach people in new ways, 6LACK collaborated with Endel to reimagine his album as two functional soundscapes.
