Avenged Sevenfold, Iron Maiden And Tony Iommi Honoured At 2017 Loudwire Awards
Some of the biggest names in hard rock and metal were on display on the night of 24 October, as the inaugural Loudwire Awards ceremony took place at the Novo in Los Angeles, California. Not only was this the first time that the awards had physically taken place (previous years had been decided and awarded only in an online capacity), the 2017 Loudwire Awards were broadcast across the US on AXS TV, making it a massive night for the whole scene.
Hosted by Fozzy frontman and WWE Superstar Chris Jericho, the awards featured live performances from In This Moment, Starset, Nothing More, Anthrax, Power Trip, Body Count and the night’s headliners, Avenged Sevenfold, as well as guest performances from Rob Halford, Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine, Lita Ford, Hatebreed’s Jamey Jasta, and more.
That’s Not Metal podcast host Beez was present to take in the winners and losers of the night, and you can check out his full account (including who stole the night and who was, far and away, the most drunk person at the awards), below.
