Ne-Yo Making A Big Non-Fictional Return
R&B superstar Ne-Yo is shaping up for major success with his sixth studio album ‘Non-Fiction,’ just out in the US with international release imminent, on February 16 in most countries. Billboard reported on Friday (January 30) that the record could be heading for a top ten debut in America in the sales week ending today (1), which would be his sixth top ten album placing out of six.
The album has been preceded by the singles ‘Money Can’t Buy,’ featuring rapper Jeezy, which appeared last May, and September’s ‘She Knows,’ with another American rap star, Juicy J. ‘Coming With You’ is released this coming week as the third official single, and is becoming a major radio hit in the UK, climbing 25-15 on last week’s airplay chart compiled from RadioMonitor data. It debuted at No. 43 on the corresponding UK TV airplay chart.
Meanwhile, ‘She Knows’ is a huge hit at rhythmic and urban radio formats in the US, and Ne-Yo completed a run of A-list shows to promote the album. They included appearances on ‘Good Morning America,’ ‘The View,’ ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live,’ ABC’s ‘The Chew,’ MTV, ‘BET Honors,’ Bravo’s ‘Watch What Happens Live’ and ‘Music Choice Takeover.’ His performance for iHeart Radio Live was streamed on over 200 stations. Ne-Yo is also currently the No. 1 international artist on iTunes Japan.
‘Non-Fiction,’ produced by StarGate, Dr. Luke, Cirkut and Lifted, is the follow-up to 2012’s US R&B No. 1, and pop No. 4, ‘R.E.D.’
