Bon Jovi Are Back
The lead single and title song from Bon Jovi‘s forthcoming album for Island Records, This House Is Not For Sale, IS for sale — it was released yesterday (12 August), and here’s the video.
The clip is directed by the distinguished video artist Indrani Pal-Chaudhuri, who has previously made videos for Alicia Keys and Mariah Carey among others, and was a particular favourite of David Bowie, whose ‘Valentine’s Day’ promo she also directed.
The Bon Jovi video shows Jon Bon Jovi riding through a working class neighbourhood in an old Chevrolet, to the soundtrack of a typically anthemic Bon Jovi number with a singalong chorus. The album, Bon Jovi’s 14th studio set, is due for release by Island on 21 October, produced by Jon Bon Jovi and John Shanks.
This House Is Not For Sale, the completion of which the band announced on Twitter in May, follows Burning Bridges, which came out in August last year as the band’s final album for Mercury Records after a 32-year relationship.
Jon was quoted earlier this year as saying that he hopes the band will be touring the new record in the early part of 2017, but plans have yet to be confirmed. “Don’t hold me to it. I don’t want to read it on the internet,” he said. “I think it just depends on everybody’s health and well-being at that time.”
