André Rieu Announces His New Christmas Album: ‘Jolly Holiday’

André Rieu has announced his new Christmas album, Jolly Holiday, will be released on 13 November 2020. This live recording (CD & DVD) features a selection of some of the most famous Christmas and romantic melodies of all time including ‘Jingle Bells’, ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’, ‘I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas’, ‘Silent Night’, ‘Snowwaltz’, ‘Halleluja’ (Leonard Cohen), ‘Walking in the Air’, ‘Sleigh Ride’, ‘Oh When the Saints’, ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’, ‘I Will Follow Him’, ‘Mary’s Boychild’ and ‘What a Wonderful World’ as well as an exclusive look behind the scenes with André Rieu.

André Rieu said, “Christmas is my favourite time of the year! With this album I want to take all of you on a beautiful musical journey to winter wonderland – into a fairytale castle, the world of Santa Claus, the magic of Christmas and the beauty and romance of the season. It has been a dream of mine for a long time to give Christmas concerts in my hometown Maastricht. And in 2019 this dream came true. This album captures the fantastic atmosphere of these concerts as well as an exclusive view behind the scenes. I am thrilled to share it with you and wish you a wonderful holiday season with a lot of music.”

André Rieu explained, “A Winter Palace complete with golden chandeliers from Venice, over 50 fir trees, two ice rinks and a Christmas market – all in my hometown of Maastricht! The perfect setting for my Christmas concert. It was a truly magical night and in this DVD I take you behind the scenes to show you how I created this winter wonderland including rehearsals with the Golden Voices of Gospel and my fantastic ice skaters.
