PlaceBowie 12” Hits Stores For Record Store Day 2017
One of the most hotly anticipated releases from this year’s treasure trove of +500 Record Store Day 2017 exclusives just became a little more special with Placebo premiering a brand new teaser trailer for their ‘Without You I’m Nothing’ 12” Picture Disc EP, unearthing rare and gorgeous archive material when collaborating with the Star Man, David Bowie, on the 1998 single.
Frontman Brian Molko in discussion with uDiscover recently described how the collaboration came about with Bowie;
“We’d already recorded the song for our second album when David became interested. I was on holiday in Barbados, I went there with my brother, there we were fast asleep & I’m woken up by my brother & the first thing I see is he’s shoving a telephone receiver in my face… & I was like “what are you doing?!” & he’s holding his hand over the receiver & going “IT’S DAVID BOWIE!”
