Eminem Announces New ‘Kamikaze’ Merchandise For Black Friday
The ‘Kamikaze’ album – which was surprise-released back in August – has recently gone platinum.
Eminem has announced a new Kamikaze merchandise line to tie in with the recent release of his album of the same name.
The LP – which was surprise-released back in August – is the superstar Detroit rapper’s tenth studio effort, and it’s gone on to achieve huge commercial success – indeed, it went platinum last month. The announcement follows the news that Eminem broke two records this year with Kamikaze and ‘Killshot’. The album is currently the best-selling hip-hop album of 2018, beating competition from the likes of Drake, Post Malone, XXXTentacion and Cardi B. ‘Killshot’ shot to the third-highest amount of views for a music video within 24 hours of being uploaded when it dropped in September. At present it has over 166 million views.
Kamikaze also topped the official UK albums chart, giving the rapper his ninth consecutive chart No. 1 in that territory. Despite dropping out of the blue, Eminem‘s surprise LP Kamikaze opened at No. 1 on North America’s Billboard 200 album chart with the fourth-best sales week of 2018. Every Eminem solo album since 2000’s The Marshall Mathers LP – including the 8 Mile soundtrack – has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Continuing on the promotional trail, Eminem is now set to drop a new line of Kamikaze merchandise. The arrival of the new items was previewed on the rapper’s Twitter last night, 20 November, with the line going by the name “Kamikaze: Night Combat” and informing fans to “get in line” for the merchandise drop, which is expected to begin tomorrow night, 22 November.
The clip promises that the arrival of the ‘Night Combat’ line will usher in special edition vinyl and cassette releases of ‘Kamikaze’ as well as the new merchandise – which will include a military-style hoodie and a long sleeve black t-shirt, both of which are currently being advertised on Eminem’s merchandise site. More items are expected to be made available when the full collection is put on sale on Friday, 23 November.
