The band teased a version of “Show Me The Way” from Peter’s eponymous album, Frampton, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this month.

Cato introduced Frampton during the beginning of the show, saying: “We got the legendary Peter Frampton, everybody!”

Colbert added: “Peter Frampton’s Let’s Do It Again Tour kicks off this spring, starting March 30; inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2024. Congratulations. Long overdue. And, this month marks the 50th anniversary of his eponymous album Frampton. Unbelievable.”

Peter Frampton’s return to touring has been an unexpected delight for fans. His last run, the Positively Thankful Tour, began in September of 2024. That run came after his previous tour, the Never EVER Say Never Tour.

It was when he announced those dates that he began teasing the Let’s Do It Again Tour. He said: “I am delighted to let you know I’m planning more shows in March and April for the new ‘Never EVER Say Never’ Tour! I don’t want to give up my passion and will play as long as I physically can.”

Frampton’s 2023 spring and summer tour announcements were unexpected by fans. The musician announced a farewell tour four years ago following a diagnosis of the degenerative disease inclusion-body myositis, but with the aptly named “Never EVER Say Never” Tour, Frampton returned, appearing on stages across America.

“At the end of every Finale Tour show I did say, ‘Never Say Never’ and I am always full of hope for the impossible. I’m very pleased to let you know that I am feeling strong and my fingers are still roaming the fretboard. Every note I play now has more meaning and soul. I love playing live and this fighter wants to stay in the ring for as long as he can. Much love, Peter.”
