Imagine Dragons Announce ‘Smoke + Mirrors’ Box Set And Merch Drop
The wide array of products includes a new anniversary album containing 14 previously unheard demos.
Smoke + Mirrors, the chart-topping 2015 sophomore album from Imagine Dragons, turns 10 years old this February. The band is marking the occasion with a multi-format reissue and merch drop celebrating the vivid creative outpouring of the Smoke + Mirrors era.
Out Feb. 21 digitally and April 25 physically, the Smoke + Mirrors Ten box set includes the full original album plus Reflections (From the Vault of Smoke + Mirrors), a new album featuring 14 previously unreleased demos from the era. Reflections is also available separately as a standalone LP.
The 3LP Smoke + Mirrors Ten box set, available on both color vinyl and black vinyl, also comes with six exclusive lithographs featuring original and reimagined artwork from Tim Cantor. The acclaimed surrealist oil painter created the cover art for Smoke + Mirrors as well as artwork for each individual track on the album, among other visuals.
Speaking of Cantor’s collaborations with the band, also available in Imagine Dragons’ merch shop is The Complete Works of Smoke + Mirrors: An Extraordinary Collaboration of Music and Art from Imagine Dragons & Tim Cantor, an 88-page book compiling Cantor’s work for the Smoke + Mirrors campaign. An exclusive Cantor design is also featured on a new Imagine Dragons hoodie, one of several clothing options available as part of the Smoke + Mirrors celebration. The collection also includes a T-shirt inspired by the bonus track “Warriors” and a reflective mirror poster featuring the tracklist from the album, among other items.
Smoke + Mirrors debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with more than 172,000 units in its first week. The album includes the 3x Platinum hit single “I Bet My Life”—streamed over 960 million times—as well as the Platinum-certified single “Shots” and the Gold-certified “Gold.” Overall Smoke + Mirrors tracks have tallied more than 7.8 billion streams worldwide in the decade since the album’s release.
