BTS’ Jung Kook Turns Up The Heat On ‘3D’ With Jack Harlow
The track is the singer’s second solo single, following the hit track ‘Seven’
BTS’ Jung Kook has returned with “3D,” his spicy second solo single, which features Jack Harlow and follows his debut “Seven.”
The new release was produced by BloodPop (Lady Gaga, Beyoncé) and Dave Stewart, one of the writers and producers behind BTS’ first Billboard Hot 100 No.1 single, “Dynamite.”
“So if you’re ready/And if you let me/I wanna see it/In motion/In 3D,” Jung Kook sings over an R&B foundation reminiscent of the early noughties. “You won’t regret me/Champagne, confetti/I wanna see it/In motion/In 3D.”
Harlow adds a verse and an outro to the addictive track, likening a lover to “my bae, just like Tampa.”
In the accompanying music video, Jung Kook dances around a movie set, sometimes alone and at other times joined by crews of backing dancers. Harlow appears later, joining the star for a game of chess.
“3D” follows Jung Kook’s debut solo single, “Seven,” which was released in July and featured a guest verse from Latto. The track claimed the No.1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and Spotify’s Top Song Global charts, as well as landing at No.3 on the Official UK Singles chart.
That single mined the sounds of UK garage and saw the singer team up with Grammy-winning producers and songwriters Andrew Watt and Cirkut. The music video featured acclaimed Korean actor Han So-hee as Jung Kook’s partner, following him as he chased her through the streets.
Before making his solo debut with “Seven,” Jung Kook gave an official release to two of his previous Soundcloud releases, adding them to streaming services for the first time. “Still With You” was originally shared as part of BTS’ anniversary “festa” celebrations in 2020, while “My You” was released as part of the 2022 event.
The star gave the debut live performance of the track during a short concert as part of Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series in July. Earlier this month, he performed it with Latto for the first time at Global Citizen festival in New York.
