Yo Gotti Announces Return Of Star-Studded Birthday Bash
The event is set for July 15 at the FedEx Forum.
Multi-platinum selling musician, entrepreneur, and record executive Yo Gotti has announced the long-awaited return of his annual “Yo Gotti & Friends Birthday Bash” concert in his hometown of Memphis.
The CMG mogul is assembling an all-star cast of friends and collaborators to perform at the 8th installment of the celebration at FedExForum in Memphis, TN, on Friday, July 15, 2022. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, May 6th at 10 am local via Ticketmaster.
“Birthday Bash is back and it’s going to be better than ever,” Yo Gotti said. “I have a few surprises and special performances for my hometown family, but just know that I’m gonna keep putting on for the city that raised me. The energy at FedExForum will be unforgettable and fans won’t want to miss it.”
In previous years, the Memphis native has surprised fans by bringing special guests such as Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Meek Mill, Rick Ross, T.I., City Girls, Jeezy, Monica, Gucci Mane, Polo G, Boosie Badazz, Master P, NLE Choppa, and many more to perform at the star-studded event.
The last edition of Birthday Bash in 2019 also featured members of Gotti’s illustrious CMG record label, including Moneybagg Yo, 42 Dugg, Blac Youngsta and Big Boogie. Since then, Gotti has expanded the CMG empire, signing EST Gee, Mozzy, Lil Poppa, 10Percent and, most recently, R&B artist Lehla Samia on May 1.
The annual tradition originally started in 2013 and, as Gotti’s career blossomed—and as he secured the biggest names in music to perform at Birthday Bash—he eventually took the show to new heights and to the Memphis Grizzlies’ arena, FedExForum, in 2017.
Earlier this year, Gotti released his 11th studio album, CM10: Free Game, which debuted at No.3 on the Billboard 200 and marked Gotti’s highest-charting album in his acclaimed career. It served as his first album release since January 2020 and included standout songs, such as “Cold Gangsta,” “Ya Bih,” “Dolla Fo’ Dolla,” and more.
To date, he has landed five consecutive Top-10 album debuts on the Billboard Top 200 with I Am (2013), The Art of Hustle (2016), I Still Am (2017), Untrapped (2020), and CM10: Free Game (2022).
